USRA designed GTW Light Mikado 4070 is being restored by the Midwest Railway Preservation Society. Work is underway to restore the wheel drop pit back to operating order allowing us to drop the main driver for access to frame repair. Cad drawings are being developed for construction of a new tender that will be mounted to the existing tender frame. Steel repairs have been completed to the cab and it awaits sandblasting, painting and installation of the new wood interior.
